Client: Enham Charity
Tibbalds have been working for leading disability charity Enham to prepare a design-led place specific masterplan that would allow substantial growth to occur within the historic village of Enham Alamein. The charity owns and manages the majority of the village for its disabled clients and wants to expand its ability to support people at the same time as delivering a richer and more sustainable mix of housing types, tenures and facilities.
Tibbalds’ masterplan is based on the delivery of rural model housing and landscape in discrete pockets around the village, following a pattern of supported sustained growth for over 100 years.
The masterplan proposes a doubling in the size of the village over a 20 year period alongside the improvement and provision of a range of local facilities and services that will also make the village a more sustainable place to live.
