Busting the millennial myth – the power of purpose

The findings of an inquiry into the millennial generation’s attitude towards working in employee-owned businesses and how they can prosper in millennial’s hands was launched today.

Lizzie Cowan and Darren Smith of Tibbalds, spoke at the launch event on how the findings of the report translate into day-to-day life at an employee-owned company such as Tibbalds.

The research shows that the arrival of millennials in the workplace is not a threat to to the employee-owned business model. On the contrary, employee ownership works well to meet the aspirations of millennials, as it does for other generations. The ability of the employee ownership model to harness the power of purpose and to provide meaningful work is at the heart of meeting the ambitions of millennials.
