Jane Dann
Jane likes variety. She thrives on using design and planning skills across a broad spectrum, including strategic urban design and masterplanning, characterisation, design guides, codes, and site-specific design guidance and advice. As an architect, planner and urban designer Jane has more than 35 years’ experience in practice and in advisory roles.
Jane promotes the role and contribution made by local context, character and heritage through her work and advisory roles. She has been appointed to the Historic England Historic Places Panel and was formerly on the London Advisory Committee. Her interest in evolving day-to-day practice and ongoing learning means that she has regularly led Tibbalds’ research projects. Jane also led the consultant teams that worked collaboratively with MHCLG to produce the new National Design Guide and the Paradise Design Code, one of the government’s Phase 1 Pilot Design Code projects.
