City of York Council Housing Delivery Programme selected as finalist for RTPI Award 2022
Delighted to announce the City of York Council Housing Delivery Programme has been selected as a finalist in the Yorkshire area of the Nations and Regions category of the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2022.
The submission was made by City of York Council and Mikhail Riches with Tibbalds, Civic, LEDA, Turner & Townsend, Urbed, Warm and ImaginePlaces.
Tibbalds are the planning agent for three housing sites on the programme and have been supporting architect Mikhail Riches with planning applications for the sites.
The City of York Housing Delivery Programme responds to local housing need within the context of the climate crisis. The aim is to create mixed and inclusive communities that promote well-being and healthy lifestyles. The programme is driven by the Council’s Housing Delivery Programme Design Manual which establishes the design brief for the project and reflects best practice, policy and guidance - both local and national.
All homes will be accessible and inclusive places, designed to build community cohesion and promote intergenerational living.
The Yorkshire winners will be announced at RTPI Yorkshire's awards reception and keynote address on 7 June 2022 at Aspire Leeds. Tickets can be booked here.
