Hilary Satchwell participates in Future of London Conference 2024
Last week Hilary Satchwell, Director, participated in a panel discussion at the Future of London Conference 2024. The conference focussed on climate resilience and equity, and how every community can be protected from extreme weather.
Hilary’s session focussed on how we can design neighbourhoods to be climate resilient and make sure they work for all of those that live there.
The audience – which included member organisations, project partners and experts from the Future of London network – was invited to consider and discuss questions including: How can we coordinate the complexity of issues around infrastructure, greening, overshadowing, coherent placemaking and inclusion when most projects are very focused within their red line? Who is looking at and managing the climate resilience of the overlap and making sure we think about all of those who are there? How is this different in higher density areas than lower density areas? How well is London set up to deal with this when large swathes of it are at risk?
