Hilary Satchwell promotes Mayor of London design challenge for young Londoners
Hilary Satchwell joins the Mayor of London and other Design Advocates in promoting the launch of the Mayor of London design challenge for young Londoners - which revolves around the theme of 'making places'.
The project, launched by the GLA and the Ministry of Building Innovation and Education (MOBIE) seeks to support learning and promote built environment careers.
It is designed to engage young people to help them understand what makes a place, through apprenticeships, engaging with graduates and interns about their career paths, and asking what inspires them in the built environment.
Hilary Satchwell has been appointed as a Design Advocate by the Mayor of London since 2017.
The Mayor’s Design Advocates support the Mayor’s ambition to uphold the quality, inclusiveness and sustainability of development across London. They assist the Mayor and his agencies to set an example; ensuring the highest standards across the GLA Group’s own activities and London’s built environment more generally. In particular they support the development and delivery of the Good Growth by Design agenda and Mayoral pledges and policies by providing related expertise and guidance.
