Reserved Matters approved for Colville towers in Hackney
Following approval of the Colville Estate Masterplan in 2012, a resolution to approve Reserved Matters relating to the third phase was granted at planning committee on Wednesday 30th July 2014. The Masterplan is a residential-led, mixed use scheme incorporating nearly 900 dwellings and the Reserved Matters include appearance, landscaping, scale and layout designed by Karakusevic Carson Architects, David Chipperfield Architects and Vogt.
Tibbalds have advised the London Borough of Hackney through the planning process since the Masterplan stage and following approval of Reserved Matters will continue to advise on delivery.
The two towers, of 15 and 19, storeys will provide almost 200 residential units as well as a landscaped area of public realm overlooked by a ground floor cafe. The towers are located diagonally opposite to Shoreditch Park and will create a new legible pedestrian route into the Estate.
