Tibbalds involved in six shortlisted projects for RIBA Awards 2019
Congratulations to all those involved in the buildings shortlisted for the RIBA London and RIBA South East Awards 2019!
Tibbalds are delighted to have contributed to the success of six of the shortlisted contenders:
2019 RIBA London Awards:
- Brentford Lock West Phase 2 by Mæ Architects
- Regents Park Estate Infill by Mæ Architects
- The Colville Estate by Karakusevic Carson Architects
- Hoxton Press, Colville Estate by Karakusevic Carson Architects with David Chipperfield Architects
RIBA South East Awards 2019 (Kent):
- Mews, Sevenoaks by Morris + Company
- Wildernesse Restaurant, Sevenoaks by Morris + Company
The projects showcase the breadth of our development planning portfolio, ranging from sensitive estate renewal, through major brownfield regeneration schemes and high density mixed use, to specialist extra care accommodation.
At Tibbalds we pride ourselves on taking a design-led approach to development planning, helping architects and clients to find solutions rather than quoting the rule book at them. Our approach is rooted in good urban design practice and we have an instinct for finding win-win solutions through collaboration and positive negotiation.
The shortlisted schemes demonstrate the power of good design to unlock development, creating great buildings and people-friendly places. Best of luck to all for the next round of judging!
Winners of the RIBA South East Awards 2019 will be announced at an awards dinner held on 23rd May.
If successful, the Regional Award winners will be considered for a highly-coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in June. The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize, the best new building of the year, will be drawn from the RIBA National Award-winning buildings in July and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.
