Tibbalds shortlisted for two Planning Awards!
We are delighted to announce that Tibbalds has been shortlisted in two categories of the Planning Awards 2024!
Tibbalds has been shortlisted in the Planning Consultancy of the Year category and the Woolwich Leisure Centre Project has been shortlisted in the Award for Fostering a Healthy Town Centre category.
Tibbalds' mission is to create people friendly places, places that provide better opportunities and quality of life for all who use them, and that draw on the best aspects of their own individual character. Genuinely successful places made for real people – to live, to work, to meet and to enjoy. This is reflected throughout our planning work.
We have reached a significant milestone of twenty years of Tibbalds in its current form. Our shortlisting in the Planning Consultancy of the Year category is a welcome recognition of our contribution to planning as we continue to deliver good places for people + planet + place through our work.
Supporting health and well-being within Woolwich has been a key driver for the Woolwich Leisure Centre Project. The Leisure Centre will provide new opportunities for residents to lead more healthy and active lifestyles through increasing participation in sports and other activities. This development has an important role as part of the major regeneration of Woolwich Town Centre for the benefit of the local community. It is linked to Tramshed, a theatre company and community arts hub in the adjacent building.
On behalf of the Royal Borough of Greenwich Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise and Skills, Tibbalds secured full planning permission for the Leisure Centre in December 2022 and for the refurbishment and extension of the Tramshed in February 2021.
