Tibbalds leads consultation on Student Living Accommodation at Hall Lane, Hendon

Tibbalds is advising the owner of a vacant site at Hall Lane, Hendon on proposals for student living accommodation. The site has a long frontage to the M1 motorway, its elevated slip road and backs on to the rear gardens of dwellings on the west side of Hall Lane.

Current proposals show the accommodation in a series of buildings that step in height from 4 to 8 storeys, to provide en suite study rooms clustered around shared kitchens and communal space for 370 students and a separate warden’s flat.

The layout provides 19 on site car parking spaces for those entitled to an accessible room and 2 visitor spaces. The site is well located for access to Middlesex University’s campuses at The Burroughs and Allianz Park.

Discussions are ongoing with officers at Barnet Council. Initial local consultation has taken place and the comments received are being considered.
