Winsford Neighbourhood Plan consultation engages local community

Tibbalds recently undertook a major consultation exercise on the preferred spatial vision for the Winsford Neighbourhood Plan. Building on what local people had said at previous consultation events, we presented a vision that grows Winsford by around 3,000 new homes, unlocks public access to the beautiful River Weaver Valley and helps to support the regeneration of the town centre.

We went out in the community to reach as many people as possible, targeting the shopping centre, supermarkets and the Circus! The Circus was a real challenge – how to get people to stop and talk to us about planning, when we were competing with the attractions of fairground rides and trapeze artists? The answers were free face painting for children and a chance to take place in the creation of an artwork for Winsford – two great ways of getting people interested enough to stop and share their thoughts on the future of Winsford with us.
