Urban design shapes the life in our towns and cities, and plays an important role in providing the conditions which make a place work well and feel good. We use our long-standing expertise in urban design to advise developers and local authorities on how to bring out the very best of the physical environment, in order to create successful places and improve quality of life.

We work with clients to set design briefs and detailed design codes, which push them and their delivery teams to think more imaginatively about how urban design can be used to enhance the individual character of a place – such as introducing active transport routes, creating character, restoring architectural heritage, and opening up green spaces – and demonstrate how, when joined together, these parts become a powerful driver for positive transformation.
